Leshkowitz & Company, LLP was formed in November, 1978 and started in modest offices in Midtown Manhattan. We have grown from a firm consisting of two partners and no staff in 1978, to eight partners/principals and a staff of some fifty professionals today. We recently moved our main office to Downtown Manhattan. In 2020 we opened our New Jersey office in Lakewood, N.J. Our growth did not come about as a result of mergers or purchase of accounts, but rather through the recommendations of our clients, professionals, and members of the banking and financial community, who recognize the quality of our work.

Our "style" is such that we work very closely with the principals and management of all our clients. We bring with us expertise and experience in accounting, taxes, management and financial services covering a broad range of industries. In addition, we have developed an expertise in international tax matters and represent numerous foreign client groups in multiple jurisdictions. It is precisely this diversification which benefits our clientele. Since we are not a firm that is concentrated in any one industry, we bring a fresh approach and can introduce innovative business ideas. Our mind-set is to be "value added" to all our clients.

In the United States we service clients throughout the tri-state area, as well as clients with multistate presence throughout the United States. Sales volume of our client base typically ranges between $10,000,000 and $800,000,000.

Leshkowitz & Company, LLP is committed to maintaining the highest professional standards. As part of that commitment, the firm participates in the AICPA Peer Review Program. The AICPA Peer Review program requires an independent evaluation of the firm's accounting and auditing practice to ensure the public trust and is designed to provide reasonable assurance that our firm complies with applicable professional performance and reporting standards. We are approved by the New York State Education Department and the State of New Jersey to administer our own in-house Continuing Professional Education Program. Our partners lecture widely on a broad array of timely topics and our firm produces several letters each year on interesting tax and accounting issues.
